I know when I went through high school and college, the thought of writing an essay made me groan. It was the daunting task of having to come up with a minimum number of words or pages dictated by my instructor/teacher/professor (a.k.a. “educator”) and stick with the specified structure of The Essay Format that I dreaded. It’s no wonder I’m not the only one who has problems with this expected assignment…all that structure and form sucked the fun out of writing! I have since developed a love for writing essays. Though I cannot instill a love of writing in everyone–as some people just hate writing ANYTHING from shopping lists to e-mail correspondences–I might at least be able to share some methods or ideas that I hope can get one excited about the subject.
